Felt for Facial Features

The finishing touch to your Mr. Hankey costume is a felt mask. Put your DIY skills to the test by creating your own Mr. Hankey mask. Cut out Mr. Hankey’s face with brown felt and then create the eyes from white and black felt. Glue or sew the eyes onto the brown mask. Make sure to cut out some holes for your eyes so you can see while you are grossing out other party guests.

DIY Instructions

1. Start by putting on your brown clothing. Mr. Hankey is, of course, brown from head to toe. So break out your brown pants, shirt, and shoes. Make sure to do a test run on an inconspicuous area of the fabric first to ensure the color comes out right. You can always dye your clothes with coffee or tea bags if you don’t have any brown clothing.

2. Next, it’s time to apply the body paint. Using a sponge or brush, apply an even layer of body paint over your exposed skin. Be sure to get into all the nooks and crannies! Once done, set the paint with loose powder or baby powder, so it doesn’t rub off on your clothes.

3. Now it’s time for the finishing touches! Break out your brown accessories and get ready to transform into Mr. Hankey. Add a pair of brown suspenders or a belt to hold up your pants (remember, Mr. Hankey doesn’t wear a shirt!). Put on a pair of glasses if you have them, or draw some with black eyeliner or face paint. And don’t forget his signature green bowtie!

4. That’s it! You’re now ready to take on the world—or at least Halloween—as everyone’s favorite Christmas poo! Just watch out for those pesky kids with toilet plunger swords…they’re always trying to ruin Mr… Hankey’s fun!
