In the anime series Re:Zero, two of the main characters are Rem and Subaru Natsuki. They are total strangers at the outset, but after Subaru is abducted to another planet and saved by Rem, their fates become entwined. Over the course of the series, the two of them develop a deep friendship that plays a crucial role in the plot.
Despite their differences, they complete one another and have each other’s backs when it counts. Because of how well they complement each other and how sincere their feelings for one another seem, they are one of my favorite anime couples. For some reason, you can’t help but support them.
